Directors carry the USSSA name. You oversee events, verify rosters, settle disputes, and uphold the rules that keep the game fair. Every director on the platform is recognized in the USSSA network.
USSSA requires every director to pass an NCSI background check before officiating, and renew it every year. We coordinate it for you — submit once, clear in three business days, status appears on your credential card automatically.
At the field, scan any player's QR code with your phone camera. Two seconds later you see: name, division, age verified, membership active. No birth certificates ever shown. No paperwork to track.

Path to credential
Submit a short application. Name, state, sports you officiate, years of experience.
A regional USSSA staff member reviews your application — typically within one business day.
We send you to our NCSI partner. You complete it on your phone. They clear it in ~3 business days.
Your USSSA Director card appears in your portal. Scan player QRs, attend events, you’re official.

We don’t create Director IDs on this site — USSSA chooses every director personally. That keeps the credential meaningful at the field: when a parent or opposing coach sees the USSSA Director badge, they know it was vetted and approved by USSSA, not auto-issued.
